During the sessions of developing new ways of sounds and composing different sound composition, we were discovering varieties of ways in using toys to circuit bend them and create the toy to manipulate sound qualities/techniques. I managed to figure the toy to make it produce three different sound compositions. One technique was using my saliva to short circuit the toy and speed up the electric process, this allowed the toys music play at a high sound rate. Second and third technique was binding all the wires on the toy to add a sound controller to manipulate the sound qualities from the toy. I found this short assignment, engaged with my limited knowledge with circuit bending. It taught me new techniques that I could possibly use later on through this course.
Circuit bending.
Circuit bending is the creative customization of the circuits within electronic devices such as low voltage, battery-powered guitar effects children's toys and small digital synthesizer to create new musical or visual instruments and sound generators.

Audio Maker
This video presents of how music can be produce be using variable objects to project different varieties of sound. I found it to be interesting because most of the music was hand made and made up be voice's and sounds of nature such as wind and currents of electrical sounds. It directed my hearing to focus more on the vocal noises rather than the background music. He composed his music from using different components such as radio recorders to microphones to create the form for sound qualities.

This is our groups sound track that we composed by using addition random sounds from either natural or mechanically made sounds. We went around Auckland city recording different sounds that reflected our theme witch was having Industrial, construction sounds that would mellow in with tranquillity. We found some very interesting sounds that managed to pull the effect of construction noises that was then altered to suit the effect of nature. Example in the song created, I composed a sound of a angle grinder, Having such a loud Mechanical sound then as a reflection of the sparks emitted off from when the grinder is connecting with metal, it creates large amounts of sparks. I then added the sound of dropping nails to act as a representation of the sparks pulling of the metal and then hitting the ground.

Sound Chambers Acoustic anechoic chambers
Research
Anechoic chambers are commonly used in acoustics to conduct experiments in nominally "free field" conditions. All sound energy will be travelling away from the source with almost none reflected back. Common anechoic chamber experiments include measuring the transfer function of a loudspeaker or the directivity of noise radiation from industrial machinery. In general, the interior of an anechoic chamber is very quiet, with typical noise levels in the 10–20 dBA range. According to Guinness World Records, 2005, Orfield Laboratory's NIST certified Eckel Industries-designed anechoic chamber is "The quietest place on earth" measured at −9.4 dBA. The human ear can typically detect sounds above 0 dB, so a human in such a chamber would perceive the surroundings as devoid of sound. I found that going into this chamber to be rather disorientating because it made me feel deaf. The chamber design felt as if we were in a speaker box that is completely composed and blocked. It was very interesting going into these chambers learning and experimenting these different
Sound of Music
During the period of our first assignment, the level one BCT group were introduced into music and how people use, hear, and combined it all together to compose music.I found it to be very interesting to interpret with this assignment because a have a very soft side as oppose to music. I enjoy music as one of my favourite hobbies. We started of by walking around Auckland city to try and listen and make our brain to be able to hear sounds that people of later day civilisation do not hear. I found it to be difficult to tune my hearing senses in to able to hear different moderated sounds. Having listening to the normal sounds such as birds and heavy construction and motor vehicles operating by made me struggle to tune my brain to hear these different varieties of sounds. As a managed to tune my hearing in, I started to listen a little more deeper then what I would normally. It was fantastic to be able to listen to these sounds and be able to then unable my brain then pick up all these sounds and have an idea of what they are. Overall, This assignment is going to be very interesting.
