Fabricating casing foundations for CDs

The images illustrated show my fabrication stages of constructing the foundations of the CD packaging product. Materials used for this object are Perspex, Compact Disk trays and acrylic stickering. For the label design, I conducted my own designs for each individual package. Each containing the same shape and form of having the three level stair well design. I struggled with stickering the labels onto the perspex due to the lack of experience and knowledge of professional stickering. They all contained bubbles and bumps over the sticker layers. I used the a graphic set square to lay each sticker onto the material to remove the humps and bumps. As i progressed through my manufacturing stages, I found a more reasonable (easy) way to produce a more eye catching label design. I layed an entire vinyl sticker over the perspex and then I removed the existing vinyl materials from cutting out my label design from the front of the package. I packaged and glued a sandwich of trays and perspex together alongside with cardboard in between to act and the meat of the cover. Overall the process of this stage is complete.
